To report an outage using the automated reporting system you must know the phone number or account number associated with the outage location. The automated outage reporting system uses the member’s phone number or account number to report an outage to the dispatch system. This is why it is very important to keep the Coop updated with your current phone number(s).

Phone number on file (time to complete 60-70 seconds)
  1. If the phone number on the caller ID matches a phone number in the database then the outage system will list the address associated with the phone number and ask you to confirm the outage location.
  2. You will then be asked is your power on or off?
  3. If you say yes then the system will check the circuit conditions to see if there are any other known outages in your area. If you answer no then you will be asked to leave a 20 second message.
  4. After the circuit conditions are checked the system will ask you if you have any other details about the outage. If you answer yes then you will be asked to leave a 20 second message.
  5. If you answer no then you will be asked if you want a call back when power is restored. If want a call back then the system will ask you for the number you would like to be called back.
  6. Your outage has been reported.
