SEC to Host Series of ‘Day in the Life of a Lineman’ Events for Area High School Students

For the second year in a row, Southside Electric Cooperative (SEC) will host students from across its service area for a career exploration program aimed at educating young people about the exciting and rewarding career of an electric utility line worker.

Students will get a hands-on look at the industry and will hear from real SEC linemen about the challenges and joys of their chosen vocational path. For background information, please see an article highlighting last year’s debut of this one-of-a-kind program:
