The undersigned Applicant, whether one or more, hereby applies for participation in Southside Electric Cooperative's (SEC) Prepaid Service program and agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. Prepaid Service is a voluntary payment choice.
2. If the member opts out of Prepaid Service or when the account is closed, SEC will provide a final bill, and the member will be responsible for any amount owed to the Cooperative. SEC will refund any credit balance owed to the member in the form of a check.
3. Enrollment in Prepaid Service shall have a month-to-month contract, automatically renewing and continuing, unless canceled by the member.
4. Prepaid Service will be billed daily and prorated over a 30-day billing cycle using the actual daily meter readings and Rate Schedule A. SEC will reconcile all charges for that billing period (more or less than 30 days).
5. The member is responsible for monitoring the account to ensure that the credit balance does not reach $0.
6. SEC will suspend electric service when the cost of service equals or exceeds the balance in a member’s Prepaid Service account. (SEC only suspends service Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM, excluding SEC-recognized holidays).
7. If service has been disconnected for non-payment and no payment is made within 30 days, SEC will consider the account inactive, and the member will be provided a final bill for any outstanding balance due to the Cooperative. Daily prorated fixed charges will continue to be applied to the account until it becomes inactive.
8. No bill for service is mailed to a member opting for Prepaid Service. SEC will provide an email or text notification, chosen by the member, when the account balance drops below $50 (or a higher amount set by the member) or an amount comparable to 5-day estimated usage (or a longer duration set by the member).
9. SEC is not responsible for any damages caused by loss of electric service resulting from participation in the Prepaid Service program.
10. SEC is not responsible for any damages caused by automatic reconnection of a Prepaid Service account. Member should note: All electrical devices that were energized at the time of disconnection may be re-energized.
11. SEC reserves the right to remove any member from the Prepaid Service program at any time.
12. SEC reserves the right to modify or end this program at any time.
13. Any returned check, along with any associated charges, will be immediately debited to the account. Should this cause the account balance to fall below zero ($0.00), service will be disconnected. (SEC only suspends service Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM, excluding SEC-recognized holidays).
