Outage Update – 9:30 p.m.
Southside Electric Cooperative crews are responding to outages caused by severe thunderstorms that moved through our service territory on Monday evening.
At this time, an estimated 2,000 members are without power, with the majority of outages occurring in SEC’s Central and Eastern Districts. Crews have been deployed across the territory and are actively assessing damage, removing hazards and restoring service as safely and quickly as possible.
Safety remains our top priority. Crews are prepared and focused on restoring power to all affected members.
We understand how disruptive outages can be and appreciate your patience as we work to restore service.
Safety Reminders:
• Stay at least 35 feet away from downed power lines and call 911 immediately.
