OUTAGE RESTORATION UPDATE 8/11/26 5:00am

Crews made significant progress restoring power overnight following severe storms that caused extensive damage across SEC's service territory. Additional SEC crews, along with contractor crews, are working this morning to replace the remaining broken poles, make necessary repairs and restore power to all members.

Estimated Times of Restoration (ETORs) will continue to be updated as they become available while crews assess damage.

We appreciate our members’ patience as crews work safely and quickly to complete restoration efforts.

OUTAGE RESTORATION UPDATE 9:30PM

SEC crews continue working across our service territory following this evening’s severe storms, which caused widespread damage, including broken poles, along with downed lines and additional storm-related damage.

17 SEC crews will continue restoration work throughout the night, with additional SEC and contractor crews reporting in the morning to continue those efforts.

Due to the extent of the damage and number of individual outage locations, restoration efforts are expected to continue into tomorrow. Some members will have power restored throughout the night as crews make repairs and restoration efforts continue.

Crews are working outage locations as safely and quickly as conditions allow. As damage is assessed and the repairs needed at each location are determined, Estimated Times of Restoration (ETORs) will continue to be provided and updated as information becomes available.

We appreciate the patience and support of our members as our crews work through the night to restore power across our communities.

Safety Reminders:

- If using a portable generator, do not plug directly into wall outlet. Use a transfer switch and follow manufacturer guidelines.

-Stay 35+ feet from downed power lines and call 911.

-Do not attempt to remove trees or debris near power lines.

Our crews are actively working to assess damage and restore power to affected members as safely and quickly as possible.
