Update 4:30PM - repairs have been made and final restoration efforts are being completed for members impacted from a burning utility pole. We appreciate our members patience while crews have worked on outages. On holidays and every day, we are Here For You.
Crews are currently on sight responding to an outage in the Bedford County/Smith Mountain Lake area, caused by a burning utility pole. We are working to backfeed power (temporarily direct power from an alternative part of the system), where possible to do so safely, while crews address the cause of the outage and restore power to members.
