Through a partnership with Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC), SEC is able to offer additional energy-saving programs and resources designed to support your home, comfort, and budget.

Smart Thermostat Program

As a member of Southside Electric Cooperative, you can enroll in our Smart Thermostat Program to help reduce energy use and better manage heating and cooling costs. Purchase a qualifying smart thermostat, enroll, and stay opted in to receive a $25 bill credit. During periods of high energy demand, your thermostat will make small automatic adjustments to balance energy use and support grid reliability. You may opt out at any time while still enjoying improved comfort, greater control, and long-term energy savings.
