Sarah Wingfield Saunders represents District 1 members on the Southside Electric Cooperative Board of Directors.
Mrs. Saunders, who lives in Campbell County, has been a SEC member since 2015. She joined the Cooperative board in 2019.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to further serve my community and members of Southside Electric Cooperative. I call this area home, my family and friends are members of this cooperative, making my primary focus to continue the philosophy of keeping members the top priority in the decisions made by Southside Electric Cooperative now and for generations to come.,” Mrs. Saunders says.
Mrs. Saunders is a small business owner of a State Farm agency that provides insurance and financial services in Virginia. Previously, she worked for Jamerson-Lewis Construction as an assistant project manager.
She received a Bachelor of Science in building construction with a minor in real estate from Virginia Tech in 2014.
Mrs. Saunders is an active member at Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, where she is a Youth Council Member and teaches Sunday school and vacation Bible school.
She and husband Brian have been married four years. Brian is the owner/manager of Saunders Outdoor Living, LLC.
Mrs. Saunders enjoys remodeling the family farmhouse, teaching Barre exercise classes at Challenger Yoga in Appomattox and learning to raise chickens and honey bees.
